New International Student Checklist
- Airport close to VU:
- Evansville Regional Airport (Airport Code: EVV)
- 7801 Bussing Dr, Evansville, IN 47725
- During the ISO, the International Student Affairs Office (ISAO) will provide one time EVV Airport Shuttle Service for all incoming new international students. For Fall 2025 ISO, EVV Airport Shuttle Service is on August 13, 2025 at 10:30 am. Should one be interested, please reserve a seat by completing the EVV Airport Shuttle Service Form by August 1, 2025.
- In the past, students who arrived the day before the EVV Airport Shuttle Service chose to stay at the Hampton Inn Evansville Airport overnight to rest and wait for the next day airport shuttle service. If one decide to do this, please complete the EVV Airport Shuttle Service Form by August 1, 2025.

- VU-x is a platform where all students will access to academic and campus resources
- All newly admitted students receive an email containing their A# and instructions on how to log in for the first time. It may take time for the email to arrive in your inbox as there are several things processing on the backend.

- All first year on-campus students under the age of 21 are required to live in University residence halls when space is available. Exceptions include military veterans and students who live off-campus with a parent or a legal guardian.

- If a student has taken this test in the past, then this student is ready to schedule for classes
- If a student has NOT taken the test yet, please schedule and take the Accuplacer Test via Vincennes UniversityTesting Center
- Two Paths of Accuplacer Test
- General Accuplacer Test: international students who have demonstrated or exempt from English proficiency
- EAL Accuplacer Test: have not demonstrate English proficiency
- Review University English Proficiency Requirement and contact Emily Yetka(eyetka@vinu.edu) for any inquiries related to English Proficiency Requirement
- It is a great idea to register classes before arrival as seats in classes fill up fast
- Email the International Student Affairs Office if you wish to register classes before your arrival.
- Visit Vincennes University Immunization Policy for immunization requirements and acceptable documentation.
- Print and compete this Physical and Immunization Form to immunization@vinu.edu or bring it to the Vincennes University Primary Care Clinic
- Review student balance in VU-x
- “Student Account” card → “Statement and Billing”
