VU Admissions
Vincennes University Admissions
Our dual credit partners are important when it comes to students being able to make the most of the credits they earn. Together, we meet students where they are and guide them confidently toward college enrollment. That includes visits to the Vincennes University campus and a straightforward, student-centered admissions process. Here is a quick overview of each process.
How to Help Students Apply for Vincennes University
Step 1: Complete the Application
Students can apply online through the VU Admissions page.
The application is free for dual credit students and typically takes 15–20 minutes to complete. Students can also use the common app.
Step 2: Submit Required Documents
Depending on student status, this may include:
- High school transcript
- Dual credit transcript (Only if student has credit from any additional colleges)
Dual credit students should remember that their VU coursework is already part of their official Vincennes University transcript.
Step 3: Placement & Advising
After acceptance, students will:
- Receive information about placement (if applicable)
- Receive information on housing, financial aid, and other important campus services
- Register for Trailblazer Kickoff. (This is the day they register for classes)
Encourage students to regularly check their email after applying, as important next steps will be sent directly to them.
Scheduling a Group Campus Visit
Bringing students to campus is one of the most impactful ways to increase confidence and college-going momentum.
To Schedule a Group Visit:
Request a Group Visit - look for “Schedule Your Group Campus Visit.”
- Group visits can typically include:
- Campus tours
- Admissions presentations
- Academic program overviews
- Lunch options (when available)
We recommend scheduling at least 3 to 4 weeks in advance to ensure availability and coordination with academic departments.
If you would like assistance organizing a visit, you may also contact your assigned VU representative directly.
Helping Students Schedule an Individual or Family Visit
Students and families are encouraged to experience campus on their own as well. It’s the best way to ensure that a college is the right fit for them and that they have all the support that they need as an individual student.
Schedule a Visit and Get More Information
Individual visits often include:
- A personalized campus tour
- One-on-one time with Admissions
- Optional meetings with faculty or coaches (upon request)
Encourage students and families to:
- Prepare questions in advance
- Ask about financial aid and housing
- Discuss academic pathways connected to dual credit coursework
These visits can help students clearly see how their high school experience connects to their next step.
