Dual Credit Course Drop & Withdrawal Dates

Thinking about dropping or withdrawing from your VU Dual Credit course? Timing matters. Always talk to your high school instructor or counselor before making a decision — while you initiate the conversation, it is your instructor's responsibility to formally submit the request to the Dual Credit Office, so be sure to follow up and confirm it was sent before the deadline. All requests must be submitted before the official deadline; the Dual Credit Office cannot process requests once a window closes.

Drop: The course is removed entirely from your VU transcript.
Withdrawal (W): The course stays on your VU transcript with a "W." It does not affect your VU GPA, but it does count as an attempted course for Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP), which is tied to financial aid.
